The Captian aka Fab Samperi from Italy displays his skills with an uptempo bossa style version of a classic funk track. Slynk teams up with fellow Australian Tom Drummond to create a smooth breakbeat club track, Tom better known for his house production which you can hear coming through in the track. Slynk also has a big solo track on this vinyl, his 80's styles are shining through in a big way here. Lastly Stickybuds from Canada brings his fat bass and solid beats, this track is a must have for all funky DJ's that like it beefy.

The second appearance on Goodgroove for George Fotiadis, aka Basement Freaks and the first release was so good he is back with his own Artist EP. With more releases and remixes under his belt than anyone would dare to count, the Basement Freaks name is synonymous with good funky breaks. This EP is a real treat for any DJ's box, funk, breaks, hip hop and big bad bass all in 3 tracks that range from 90 bpm to 120 bpm, very useful indeed. The A side 'Pushin' is a massive club track already and is getting some serious action round the world, big strings and huge vocals with breakbeats sureshot! The Artist Series showcasing the best Goodgroove artist are proving to be a big success, this is the third to be released and is one for the funk heads among you. The Breakbeat Junkie from Nottingham has funk flowing through his veins. He mixes original funk with with a big chunk of electro break dance & neat scratching to create a sound that rocks dancefloors. Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show are big fans, also the likes of All Good Funk Alliance, he has a wide appeal. Watch out for some big remixes from The Breakbeat Junkie this year.
The second artist to be showcased on Goodgroove is P Zilla aka Parker. Bristol (the UK's breakbeat capital) based Parker is already a successful act in his own right with his album 'To Eternity' and his latest alias exclusive to Goodgroove P Zilla is akin to Parker's naughty brother, using the samples that are to say the least 'dirty'. P Zilla made his debut with 'Baddest Man' on GG05 which got heavy plays all this summer at Shambala & Boom festival to name a few, so get ready to hear the next installment on this EP. Now a firm favourite in the funky breaks world, Goodgroove is showing casing some of the artists that have made the label a big hit. Of coarse Featurecast had to be the first on the new artist series, with 3 huge club tracks. Take A Ride has been compared to a modern day Sugarhill Gang and it rocks every floor with style, real disco breakbeat. All new comers to the label, Sampology from Brisbane, OZ, takes the A side with a giant breaks track, using big band sounds and a super catchy bassline, HUGE!. Back in the UK and a debut track from The Breakbeat Junkie is on the flip, mixing electro beats, funk samples and a certain rap act with 5 members as the vocal, he has done his home town of Nottingham proud with a classic funky track. Last but never least Audited Beats from New Zealand with a slower reggae vibe and super heavy beats, Askillz has been playing this track for awhile, what more can we say. Goodgroove in full effect.
